Is this really a one-time purchase?
Yes. Pro is a single in-app purchase through Google Play. No recurring charge, no subscription. All future Pro feature updates are included. Your Play Store listing shows the price in your local currency.
What is in the free tier?
Multi-page scans, single-pick gallery and file import, four filters (Original, Auto, Grayscale, Color), manual OCR with copy and in-document search, folders, PDF / JPEG / PNG export, app lock, encrypted backup, and a recovery key. Everything is encrypted on-device with AES-256-GCM. No accounts, no cloud.
Pro adds workflow features on top: batch import, B&W (Sauvola) filter, annotations and signatures, tags, auto-OCR with library-wide content search, per-document watermarks, and password-protected export.
What if I get a new phone?
Install DocuScanr on the new device, sign into the same Google Play account, and tap Restore Purchases in settings.
To bring your documents over, you need a recovery key and an encrypted backup file from the old device. See the Support FAQ for the full backup and restore flow.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Google Play. Within 48 hours of purchase you can request one directly in the Play Store app: Payments and subscriptions, Budget and order history, find DocuScanr, Request a refund.
